1. Marketing leads – social media produces almost double the marketing leads of trade shows, telemarketing, direct mail, or PPC (June 2013)

2. Business relevance – 21% of marketers say social media has become more important to their company in the last six months (June 2013)

3. Facebook driving traffic – companies that generate 1,000 Facebook likes also receive nearly 1,400 website visits a day (June 2013)

4. More males on Facebook – there’s 60% male to 40% female ratio on Facebook (May 2013)

5. Twitter total users – the latest figures show there are 555 million Twitter users (May 2013)

6. Google + figures – there are 170 million users (May 2013)

7. LinkedIn visits – there are 85.7 million monthly visits (May 2013)

8. LinkedIn for UK – there are 10 million UK members (January 2013)

9. Pinterest rivals Facebook – Pinterest user spends on average 405 minutes a month the same as Facebook (May 2013)

10. Pinterest female dominated – there’s a 31.8% male to 68.2% female ratio (May 2013)
